New Electrode Pads

The electrode pads in Wonston, Stoke Charity, Hunton, Norton and Sutton Scotney defibrillators have been replaced today. They are now current until December 2024 the same replacement date as the batteries.

2022 Annual Checks

Annual Checks were carried out today on all five of our defibrillators and cabinets as required by CHT. Cabinets were cleaned and polished and the locks lubricated. Donation

Many thanks to Sue Lane for donating £10 to our maintenance fund. The electrode pads on our devices will need replacing in December this year which will be a considerable expense. With inflation our fund actually shrinks every year so donations such as Sue's do help offset this loss.

2021 Annual Checks

All five cabinets and defibrillators have today received their annual checks as required by CHT. The cabinets were cleaned and polished and locks lubricated. All devices are fully functional.

New Batteries

Sutton Scotney Fire Station device

The device was obtained from outside Sutton Scotney Fire Station following an emergency call to the Ambulance Service. However, due to prompt arrival of an ambulance our defib was not used. It has now been checked, sanitised and returned to its cabinet to remain 'Rescue Ready'.

Beating COVID

In spite of COVID-19 all of our volunteers are continuing to check our devices and cabinets to ensure that they remain rescue-ready. Appropriate disinfection materials are being used.
